Sugar in Bacon!!

I am on day 4 of induction and I have been very careful-so I thought- recording on FITDAY every oz. of everything I consume, including water and any seasonings. For breakfast I have been having bacon and eggs. Today, I looked on the package and saw the bacon had been "brined?" in sugar. SUGAR!!!...
