I'm new to eBay, and would appreciate any tips for using it that any of you have, please.

What do you think about buying a USED yoga dvd?

To keep the price down, should I not bid until about 60 seconds before closing?

Any tips for keeping the price of shipping down?

I've been shopping on ebay for awhile now.A used yoga DVD? hmmm...I would send the seller a message to confirm it is in perfect shape, and don't delete the response. If they send you bad merch, and are falsly advertising, you can give them a bad review and report them if they don't refund you.
As far as shipping charges go, make sure you confirm how much they are charging for shipping before you agree to purchase something. Many have shipping calculators, if not send the seller a message and ask. I have made that mistake before and paid more for shipping then what the item was even worth. Do a search on your item and you may find that someone else is selling it with a lower shipping price. Some sellers offer a lower shipping charge if you purchase more than one item from them.
If you can remember (!) to wait until 1-2 minutes before the close of the auction to put your bid in, you are more likely to win. But don't take too long entering it because by the time you post it, it may have already ended.
Have fun, and don't get addicted like I did! LOL

Bid whenever you want or there is bidding software out there (free) that will place last minute bids for you. If you think shipping is too high, contact the seller and offer them a lower deal - if there are no bids, they will often take it. Ask for things like free shipping with buy it now, or tell them they can ship parcel post if you are not in a hurry. I have purchased workout DVDs and been satisfied - just make sure the seller will take the item back if it does not work correctly!

I think that soon I'll be buying that dvd! I'll probably go with a new one for now.

And I am being careful to not fall into that addiction! I do not need a new problem!! LOL
