Default Our FurKids

Luv2bike and I decided we needed a thread to showcase our furkids. I don't know about you but my furbabies are a part of my daughters and I's family. They hate to be ignored.

Kassi, 6 year old, seal lynx bi-color Ragdoll

Kassi doing the famous Ragdoll flop.

Blossom, 10 months old, blue point Ragdoll

I have tons of pictures of my 2 furrypurry girls, if you want more just say the word!

I just had to add the pics of my German Shepherd. I gave my daughter a puppy for her 5th birthday (Jan 4th) and after 8 weeks I needed to find him a new home. My daughter was terrifed and very uncomfortable around the puppy and around every other dog I introduced her too. So I called up a close friend who just moved onto a large acreage and didn't have a dog yet and offered our Charlie. He was at my house in less then an hour. I used to take Charlie to work with me and he had a reputation and was a very desirable dog. So Charlie was 4 months when he was picked up and he is just about 7 months now.

4 months old (38lbs)

6 1/2 months old (78lbs)

Please let me introduce you all to Queenie! She's an Australian Shepard. This pic is a few months old. I'll post a more recent picture later on.

I also have a pure white cat that I've had for 8 or 9 years. Her name is Sasha and I don't have any pics of her. So I guess it's time to get one. First she needs a bath. Yikes! Anyone have any tips on bathing a mean grouchy old cat?

luv2bike - Do you have someone who can help you?? It's better to have 2 people bath a grouchy kitty. One to hold and one to wash and rinse. I would also recommend containing the kitty in a bathroom. I included Kassi's after bath photos, I'm sure you'll get the same look from Sasha LOL I bath Kassi in the kitchen sink because it's deeper and I have the spray nozzle to rinse. Once I am done I wrap her in a towel and leave her in the bathroom for 30 minutes with the dryer to warm the air around her. The kitten also must be in there in case she is missing out on something.

Good luck!

There are drawbacks to having such a smart, energetic dog! Believe me! Sometimes I think she's too smart for her own good!

She acts much better at Tom's house. I think she knows he's the alpha dog there. Now me? I think she looks at me as another litter mate ....... and one that she can push around at that! I do most of the walking and playing with her. He does most of the discipline and training.

Sometimes she just barks and barks at me like I'm suppose to know what she's wanting. And I wish I did ........ so she would shut up!

I think the hot weather has slowed her down some.

I did manage to bathe the ornery cat the other day. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I clipped her nails and I have no wounds to report! To tell the truth, I think she liked it after it was over. She use to do a real good job of staying clean by herself but since she's gotten older ..... and fatter, she's not been getting her back very well. So, I will definitely do it again.

I love seeing all of the cute animals pics!
