| FYI, today there's a rerun of this on her show. For me, sometimes when I watch something on weight loss it gives me some idea that helps me make progress. | ||||||||||

| Hmmm...I'm not sure. It sounded like it was around November 2004. Main guidelines were: 1. Stop eating 2-3 hrs before bedtime. 2. Regular vigorous exercise 8 times a week. 3. Eat consciously at all meals. (Be aware of everything you put in your mouth) 4. Abstain from alcoholic beverages with the exception of 3 holidays a year. 5. Drink minimum 6-8 glasses water a day. 6. No white foods (refined carbs). No, I've never read Dr. Phil's book. What's in there that's helpful? I'm always looking for good ideas. Last edited by nancy; 06-20-2006 at 10:53 AM. | ||||||||||

| Yep, that's what she says. She takes off one day a week and 2 days a week exercises morning and evening. BTW, I added one other item. She says don't eat white foods. | ||||||||||

| I use to like Oprah years a go, but now I can't stand to watch her. She's just WAY too full of herself, imho. I bought one of Bob Greene's (her trainer) books the other day at a dollar store. I haven't read it yet, but I think it's about staying motivated. Now there's something I really need! I hope there's some good sugestions in there. I have Dr. Phil's book. I would recommend it. I'm thinking of re-reading it myself. | |||||||||||

| That's good to know. I have the diet and the basics that work for me. But I like to pick up different ideas and knowledge to remotivate myself, make more progress, or be more efficient and effective with exercise. | ||||||||||

| Sure thing! I almost forgot that he had a diet program of his own. I've never paid attention to it. I think there was a controversy about it where someone sued him about his products. The name of Dr. Phil's book is, "The Ultimate Weight Solution - The 7 Keys to Weight Loss Freedom" Key One - Right Thinking Key Two - Healing Feelings Key Three - A No Fail Environment Key Four - Mastery Over Food and Impulse Eating Key Five - High-Response Cost, High-Yield Nutrition Key Six - Intentional Exercise Key Seven - Your Circle of Support | |||||||||||
