Default How to work with a mixed family.

Daughter is a strick vegetarian, Husband is a meat and potato man, and your on South Beach and watching your waist line disappear. There is an answer.

Soups:
For the vegetarian in the family, reserve a portion of soup before adding meat. For instance, you can make a corn chowder and add a can of clams to it. Hot and Sour Soup can have some cooked pork added. You can add some diced ham to some lentil soup or add some browned sausage to most vegetable soups.

Salads are the same way. To most green salads you can add
hard boiled eggs,
cooked chicken or ham
cooked shrimp
cooked roast beef.

Entrees
Most vegetarian entrees can be used as a side for roast beef, chicken or lamb. You can make a big pot of chili and add the meat to half of it.
