| Ok I really miss eating my soft sugar cookies do you think I could substitute some splenda and some wheat flour or do they make white wheat flour alternative to go into the cookies the rest of the ingredients i can handle and are perfectly fine for SB phases. Just wanted to know about the sugar and flour. | ||||||||||

| I did recently make a carrot cake and subbed artificial sweetener and "Whole Wheat" flour in the recipe. When you buy your flour, make sure it says Whole Wheat and it's not a blend or some wheat flour that they've refined. Just because it's brown doesn't mean it's acceptable for the South Beach Diet. I used a little less canola oil in my cake recipe than what was called for. I guess you'd use Smart Balance for yours. Good luck and let us know how your cookies came out. And please be aware of your portions and limits for sweet treats. If you have trouble controling yourself with them then I'd suggest staying away from items like that. | |||||||||||
