| I found a recipe for tahini Now i can make my own hummus Tahini 2 Tablespoons sesame seeds 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup water Place sesame seeds in a blender or food processor and grind until smooth. Add sesame seed oil and salt. Process until combined. With the motor running add the water in a very slow, steady stream and blend until smooth. Makes about a 1/2 cup | ||||||||||

| I have always used the tahini paste that comes in a jar. Is there something wrong with doing that? I haven't looked to see if it has sugar...maybe that is why.

| Awesome! Thanks for posting the tahini recipe. I've been wanting to make my own because I figure it's healthier for knowing exactly what's in it, (preservatives, sugars, etc.) and I greatly enjoy making my own sauces & dips. | ||||||||||
