 5k-how far? so who knows... how far is a 5k race? like 3 1/2 miles or something?

| Not quite that far. A km is roughly 5/8 of a mile so 5 * (5/8) = 25/8 = 3.125 The real value is 3.107 miles. Length Conversion | |||||||||||

| Not even that far huh?....good...lol...even better. I've been asked to participate in a 5k to help raise money to upgrade a local church park...ten bucks...and I could actually be able to say I participated in it...that's cool I guess. It's not even a place I attend, but who cares right?..Never been able to say I've done anything like that, but heck, I run this far at the gym on a treadmill...why not be able to say I 'ran a5k' too right?...sounds so 'athletic' and all...lol
