| Wow, this is really neat. I was thinking about added little weights to my arms and legs during my cardo, number 2 says bad idea and I guess when you think about it, they are right. Point of cardo is to get the heart and lungs going.

| Weight training is necessary. When you weight train, you burn calories during the workout and 24-48 hours AFTER a workout while your muscles recover. In cardio, you are only burning calories while working out, there is hardly any recovery afterwards compared to weight training. If you want to avoid gaining too much muscle, then use low weight and do sets of 20-25 reps. Building and toning muscles burns lots of calories, and if you aren't at least doing something with the muscles, you will still pretty "amorphous" and "pasty" even after losing weight. Weight training is a necessary component to weight loss. | ||||||||||

| That information was very informative. Ever since I started exercising, my sleep has improved. I suffer from insomnia and take ambien. I go right to sleep every night. It is also good to know the facts about calorie burning. | ||||||||||
