| Hi everyone! I just joined in hopes that this diet will turn my life around. I have struggled with weight issues all of my life. 4 years ago I went on the Atkins diet and lost 40 pounds. I have over the past 2 years gained it all back. I have tried Weight Watchers along with every other diet imaginable. Throughout all the diets I felt that the low carb was the best way to go which brought me to South Beach, knowing its healthier than Atkins. What I have lacked is willpower, so perhaps this forum of what seems like amazing people will help me through this. I would love to lose about 90 pounds. | ||||||||||

| I just joined too. I have lost and gained 100 lbs twice in my life, I am hoping that I find a way of life with this plan to help keep it off this time. From what I see so far, this site has a lot of helpful hints and support. | ||||||||||

| 'Cateira, I know exactly where your coming from, I also need a lot of support because I have a lack of motivation and willpower. We should try and team up to help each other through, so lets get healthy. My worst food craving is for bread, I would drive miles for that perfect loaf of bread in fact the car drives itself to the bakery, go figure. I wish they could create a low carb tasty bread, however, if they did I would eat the whole loaf. Let me know what are your favorit foods that cause you trouble. | I'm still researching SB but I am looking at starting next week. I was working with a nutritionist for about a year and I went from 228lbs to 195lbs, then for 6 months a grueling plateau. And as I'm sure you know, hitting a long plateau can be sabatoge. I've managed to maintain but I must lose at least 35lbs more by September 1st. My husband and I want to start a family but with my high blood pressure, cholestoral, and weight, I would be high risk! I have to do this, I hope SB will help me push past this dreaded never ending plateau! I will need a lot of support, I'm glad I found this page! My nutritionist was great but couldn't offer a solution other than...it will break eventually. Eventually isn't good enough an answer from someone who should be trained to help make suggestions to get past it. | ||||||||||
