| Hi everyone, My name is Lisa and I am new to the board. I have been reading some success stories and I am so proud of all of you that stuck with this program! On the advice of my doctor I was instructed to follow this diet during the last 3 months of my last pregnancy, I have to say I was used to eating whatever I wanted because hey, I was eating for two! But during just the first week the seeking went down dramatically in my feet and ankles and basically all over. ????: South Beach Diet Forums http://www.southbeachdietbulletinboard.com/introduction-forum-just-say-hello/1885-new-member-here.html I was eating healthy foods for me and my baby and I was thrilled that I could actually fit my foot in my shoe again! So now I am back to give this a try post baby! The first week is the hardest for me and it's even harder when you live with people who are all over weight and eat out constantly! I will try my best and give it all I've got, plus I feel like I would have loads of support from my friends here I am going grocery shopping tomorrow and June 5, 2008 will be my first day! | ||||||||||

| Welcome Lisa, you will love this WOE. The first 2 days are tough but once you push through them you will sail through and do great. I am on day 4 and the cravings are gone. Day 1 and 2 I was wanting to snack on junk but pushed through the feeling and am on the other side already. I have done other low carb plans before and found that after the first 3 days it is easy sailing if you plan ahead. I am already preplanning for July 4th weekend when my family gets together and grills and eats for three days straight, roasting mashmellows etc... Memorial weekend did me in after a wek long phase 1 doing great, I gave in and ate chips and marshmellows. It then sent me into carb cravings and all last week I could not get myself back into phase 1 eating. So that is why I will preplan for July 4th weekend so that I will be in phase 2 and have berries with S-f whip topping for my treat when others are having marshmellows. ????: South Beach Diet Forums http://www.southbeachdietbulletinboard.com/showthread.php?t=1885 Best of luck to you, you will absolutely love this plan and how you feel on it. | Just wanted to welcome you on board! Proud to see more people joining. Just reading blogs and comments made by others helps me alot! any questions i'll be glad to help if i can---tiny t is the one i always ask everything. | for the warm reception everyone! I totally forgot how hard it was.....we are moving into our new place and Sunday will be our final day for everything to be loaded up and when you are packing and loaded you really work up an appetite! I caved :Hiding: BUT, it is so true, you have to PLAN ahead for meals, I can't just open the fridge and eat whatevers there anymore. The grocery trip was postponed...but definitely going tomorrow and I already made a list of things I will get. I just need to stay focused and realize I can always find something healthy to eat no matter what, I just have to make better choices. | ||||||||||
