Hi my name is Karen and I've started South Beach 5 days ago. I'll use Tom's questions to tell you more...

What brought you to south beach?
I have severe endomtriosis and the best treatment is the dreaded pill. Its made me insulin resistant. 10 months and 20 lbs later.... well I had to do something!

How long have you been doing it?
5 days today!!

What do you like about the diet?
Its pretty reasonable, some habits have to be changed, but I'm glad I can eat a lot of veg.

What is difficult about the diet?
I'm really missing potatoes etc... and my office is sweet happy there's always cakes around. So its a little bit of a struggle

Do you exercise?
I've just started and I'm seriously out of shape so I'm taking it slow.

How much weight do you have to lose?
I'd like to lose the 20 pounds I gained but I should lose 40. I'm only thinking about 7 pounds at a time.

Do you have an recipes to share with us?
Not yet, but I'm sure I will soon. I am a foodie!
