Hi,I've been on Atkins & even though I am following induction to the letter, I am not losing anything. I lost 4 pounds & gained it right back. I figured it must be the fat. I obviously cannot lose weight with the fat. Even Phase 1 of SB looks decadent next to Atkins Induction.

I was on Atkins & as you probably know saturated fats are allowed on Atkins.
Bacon, pork rinds, butter, heavy cream. In Atkins the higher fats allowed is believed to help satiate your appetite. Even though I was staying on 20 carbs a day, I was taking in much more calories.
That is why I went back to SouthBeach. Much happier here, with my veggies & lower fat items. I have no problems now South Beach is taking care of my hunger pangs.

whew...for a minute there I thought you were trying to say that the SB had too much fat...I was going to ask you if you were crazy cause the Atkins has WAY more fat than this one....but.....I was way off there...you know what your doing...never mind and BTW...

Thanks Tiny! LOL!! I was wondering about your question myself! LOL!!
SB is working much better for me! I can have 2 cups fat free/yogurt/ milk a day. 1/2 cup beans!!!!!!! None which is allowed on Atkins Induction. I really feel as it I am cheating! When I get hungry I eat a romaine salad with olive oil & a touch of artificial sweetner.

where bouts in Michigan? I'm just north of the the Indiana border, almost right in the middle...it's getting colder......BURRRR!!!!! I realized this morning in the 43° air that I have no coat that fits!....gee, guess I'll have to go shopping again huh?...lol

St Joseph. Right on the Lake. Where are you? Yes, there is a chill in the air now, amazing how the weather changed so fast. Hope we get a bit of Indian Summer before the winter winds come. Maybe we could get together sometime. What sort of treasure hunting do you do?

Sturgis....just north of the LaGrange/Howe exit on the toll road...Right on the lake huh?...bet it get's a lot colder there than here, even though we're close, you get that lake effect huh?

Same thing happened with me -- I did Atkins for over a month and lost about 1 pound.

Felt very discouraged.

So I just switched over to South Beach today.
