| Hi everybody.... When the south beach diet first came out five years ago, my doctor recommended it to me. In three months, I lost 50 pounds (with daily exercise). I was also only 21 and a lot more active. I was so happy, but I fell back to my foolish ways. I love how the diet breaks the addiction to carbs for me. I recently graduated from school and now I am a registered nurse. I don't want to be the hypocritical nurse that tells her patients how important it is to eat right and exercise!!!! I've decided to do this again because I know it is achievable. I am a stress eater but I think now that I'm more mature I can figure out how to channel my stress other ways. I'm ready!!!! | ||||||||||

| Welcome!! The food lists have changed a bit since then so be sure to check the relatively current ones in the sticky topics in the P1 and P2 forum. the biggest changes for P1 is that dairy is now allowed and all veggies including tomatoes and onions are unlimited. And there is probably more emphasis on good carbs in P1 with dairy and beans to keep you out of ketosis and avoid the blahs and the "SB Flu" from going too low carb. | |||||||||||
