Default The First Weigh In

Well, as an SB returner, I knew not to expect dramatic weight loss for my first week of Phase 1, however, what I didn't expect was to lose zero! The only thing I can think of is that I must have been piling the pounds on before I started and that I've just cancelled some of that weight-gain out. It probably doesn't help that I haven't been to the gym much - swimming being the only thing I can do at the moment due to a bad back. Thankfully, part way through the week, I remembered to measure myself as I know that I can tell a story that the scales don't.

Ah well, here goes Week 2 of Phase 1 - if I don't lose next week .......

Don't get discouraged. When we have already done this sometimes I think the body remembers and fights to reserve our fat storage and slow down the metabolism. Hope it's better this week.

aww, thankyou for your encouragement - you've never seen somebody fly off to the gym as quick as I did - thankfully my measurements show I've lost a half inch here and a half inch there, so all is not lost! I'll let you know what happens next week.

Hang in there! Focus on healthy eating and long term weight managment! There will always be times when the scale does not "reward" us for our efforts, but we just keep heading forward anyway!
