Thumbs up I started and am down 6#

Whew, I am new to SB, but love it already. 5 days ago I started at a whopping 260 and am now 254. And, I am not hungry. Actually, I have to ask myself if I really am ready for the next meal???? Wow. I had tried Atkins several years ago, but I was always uncomfortable about all the saturated fats allowed. I feel this is much more healthy. Awesome! Just keep it up.

A couple of tips...don't stay in phase one longer than the two weeks, phase two goes a little slower, do not get bummed out about that. SB is about a healthy lifestyle, it's a side effect that you lose weight. hopefully you will add some exercise in, see a doctor at some point to get checked out. I would take a good multi vitamin too.

checking back in from time to time with this forum will help as well.

Keep a food log too, clean out your pantry and fridge of "bad" foods...

I'm in the same shape as you... 255 (now 249), started Monday (today is Day 5) and did Atkins a few times.

I always thought all the fat on Atkins was bad too. Way too much steak and lobster for my poor old heart.

I'm eating steak or fish or chicken with all my main meals but I'm only eating about 4 ounces per meal instead of my regular portions which were closer to 12-16 ounces in one sitting!
