| I am brand new to the forum and I'm on Day 5 in Phase I. The first 3 days were REALLY hard for me, but I seem to be mellowing out a bit. My question is on the peanut butter and other snacks. The book says you can have 2 Tbsp. of peanut butter...is that per day? per snack? And same with things like the pecans where it says you can have 15...per day? per snack? The hardest thing I am finding is to eat 3 large meals...I've never been one to eat a ton at one meal, my weight gain is due to just not eating well at all. So I find that I can't seem to eat enough at a meal to where I don't "snack" as much. I'm following all the rules, but feel like I need to have a snack too often...Any thoughts? | The nut/seed allowance is per day. PB should only have peanuts and salt as the ingredients. Since then it is just peanuts in spreadable form, it would be either the PB or other nuts/seeds as your serving but not both. (unless it was half servings of each or some other combo like that) The meals really aren't that big, (3-4 oz of protein and 2 cups of veggies), but if you have trouble finishing them, then just eat smaller meals/larger snacks more frequently. You should be eating something every 2-3 hours anyway. Doesn't really matter what you call it! Just make sure you get in your 4.5 cups of veggies every day and some amount of proteins and good fats and hit all the allowed categories if possible! | |||||||||||

| You're welcome! I think the nut/seed allowance is the hardest one to live within! They are good for you in small quantities, but are fairly calorie dense and can be diet busters if consumed too freely. | |||||||||||
