| Hi, everybody, I'm Kes - I've been off again on again heavy and slim throughout my entire adult life. The last go-around was Weight Watchers - I did really well with it, but then got really tired of tracking and counting, and what not, so I stopped. And, of course, the weight came right back on. And now that I'm nearly 50, it's REALLY hard to dislodge those extra pounds! I walk, and I eat fairly healthily, but I do have a pronounced weakness for carbs - chiefly, bread and pasta, although I'll go for pastries and cakes if they're around. Oh, and I acquired a taste for ale, too. Knowing that those are my weaknesses, I'm very hopeful that a WOE which minimizes those things will be successful for me. I started four days ago, and so far, it has been pretty good. I don't think I've lost any weight, but maybe a few more days will show a difference. | welcome kes! i am right there with you! SB was the best diet or 'lifestyle' i have experinced. its just good food in smart portions! i most recently was on medifast - it worked for 40 pounds then i got soooo sick of it (& i do not get bored with stuff easy) & gained it all back. so i am starting sbd again. i have about 70 to lose as well! | I can relate! Weightwatchers is an excellent plan that I have done really well with in the past, but the thought of counting points for the rest of my life is utterly depressing! So I did the same as you - gave up and the pounds crept back. I'll be starting SBD tomorrow. Hopefully we will both have some success | ||||||||||
