Default Need help with P1 desperately! New member!

Hello everyone!

I was searching around online to find something to help me solve some answers when I found this bulletin. I am new to the South Beach diet but have read the book already. I am 10 days in, following the diet almost to a tee (as far as I know), and have yet to see any weight loss what-so-ever. I really need some help because I am getting very discouraged. I used to eat a 6-inch subway meatball sandwich, chips, and sweet tea for two meals a day, 5 days a week, and no breakfast. Does anyone know as to why I am not seeing ANY results? My energy is still the same and so is my waist size! If anything I have seen a little weight gain?? Please help! I am in desperate need of advice, guidance, and reassurement!

I know you are discouraged but have some patience. I just did SB for the second time and even though I am a slow loser, I lost 10 lbs this second time on phase 1 the first 4 weeks. I am 56 and was hoping for about a 7 or 8 lb. loss the first month and did much better as you can see. I will tell you I did not cheat at all..I may have overdone the nuts a bit, but I figure it would be better to shove nuts in my mouth and not cookies or chips. I badly wanted to lose weight no matter how bad the hunger pangs and I lost 22 lbs over a 3 month period. I have maintained my loss but right now need to lose about 5 lbs. All in all I have done really well..I started last March and here it is mid October. It is a constant battle and I wish you the very best. I think a person's weight loss in phase 1 varies, but I can assure you if you follow the plan, the weight will steadily come off. I work for a large oil company and the company doctor preaches South Beach to everyone!! Good luck to you!!

Please post specifically what you are eating and drinking with quantities and timing throughout the day. Also current height, weight, and goal weight would be helpful.
