Prednisone and So Beach

My name is Irish and I am on my second week of Phase I. This is the second time I have been on So Beach. I know it works. However, in between I have had to go on Prednisone and have been on it for over 2 yrs. I have gained 40 bls on this medicine. I can't stop taking it, but am crazy about the weight gain. I have been told that you can't lose weight on Prednisone. Has anyone else been successful on So Beach and Pred?

I personally have not been on prednisone (thank god) but my best friend who is older than I am has been on it for at least 15 years that I can think of. The only way she has been able to lose weight is when she weans herself off of it. She has polymyalgia (sp?) and absolutely hates taking this medicine but she gets to where she has horrible pain and cannot avoid it. She gained 50 lbs initially but lost it over time and she is back up again. I hear her woes off and on and she just deals with it. Maybe you could lower your dosage or is there another medicine you could take? Feel free to write me anytime. Good luck to you.
