Default Starting next Monday

Excited to find this forum! Thanks to the person who started this. I plan on being around for awhile. I have 60lbs to lose and WILL check in at least once a week to offer support to others and hopefully find some support during the course of my diet.

I'm middle age, happily remarried, a full time college student, and just hoping to get my body feeling as good as I do mentally.

Sooo... Here I am ready to get started. Exercise this week and the diet Monday after grocery shopping this weekend.

Welcome! Be sure to check out the foods list and the meal models as sticky topics near the top of the P1 forum here. They really help a lot in figuring out how to put together SB friendly meal plans with the foods you like to eat. And remember that this is not a low carb program, even in P1. You need to max your carb intake from the allowed P1 sources since fruits and starches are off limits for the first 2 weeks. So be sure to get in your minimum of 4.5 cups a day of veggies (1/2 cup for brekkie, and 2 cups each for lunch and dinner), some amount of beans/legumes each day as part of those veggies, and some amount of the allowed types of dairy. (basically, skim or 1% milk or plain FF yogurt. Cheese is a protein for SB purposes.) This really is more than anything else a vegetable based program, so eat your veggies!
