| Hi, everyone, I had been browsing your forums for a couple of months now and finally decided to join your friendly bunch. A little about me and what I had done so far: I am a 30 yo female with a sedentary finance job living in Texas. In my spare time I excessively play video games ( darn you, World of Warcraft!) so as you can imagine, I am not very healthy ( correction, WAS not very healthy). I decided that it is time for a change. 6 weeks ago my hubby and I started South Beach. I bought the cookbook and Ph1 recipies are yummy and not hard to make at all.. ????: South Beach Diet Forums http://www.southbeachdietbulletinboard.com/journal-your-way-thin/1968-alvenas-weight-loss-journey.html I am 5'2" and 5 weeks ago i was 160 LBS which is too much for my height. I am shooting for 130- possibly 125 lbs. Hubby and I followed Ph1 plan for 4 weeks to the dot and I lost 8 lbs and he lost 9. We love how we feel and we continue pretty much with phase 1 main dishes, just recently added some fruit to our diet and rice cakes and multi grain crackers on ocasion. I know I could have lost more if I exercised but i feel that I achieved a lot by changing the way we eat laready! I bought a Wii Fit balance board which I am going to try out tonight and I registered for the Irish Stepdance classes which will start on 08/13/08 - cant wait! I am glad to meet all of you and share my sucess with a bunch of awesome people! Hugs, Alv | ||||||||||

| WELCOME, WELCOME!!! Nice to meet you! It's great that the hubby is doing this with you...it helps TONS when you have support in the same house! And I'm glad to hear you feel you have achieved alot already...that's what it's about. Being aware of what your eating and how your body feels from it. South Beach is a wonderful way of life...and it only get's better every day! Great to have you both here and if you ever need anything, just ask....but it sounds like you've got this thing under control already! Congratulations on both your losses so far! | I still cant manage to get me to exercise regularily but i am keeping up with my healthy eating. Checked my weight today morning and I am down to 150 lbs ( from 160). Thats 10 lbs in 6 weeks. Not bad ![]() Last edited by Alvena; 07-16-2008 at 11:40 AM. | ||||||||||

| Uh hubby is spending his evenings on MY Wii Fit board...I Cant believe it..I think I need to buy him a book on "how to share things with your wife" subject hehe. I had to skip lunch yesterday- had to go to a job interview . I brought extra cottage cheese with me to work but lack of food gave me a headache which I still have even after taking Advil. | ||||||||||
