Take motivation from whatever sources you can find them. Who knows maybe you will inspire others along the way! Working towards better health and fitness as a priority in your life is always the best approach in my opinion because then all the components fit into place when that is your priority. It's not just eating right or just exercising more or getting enough sleep or being mindful of your stress levels or whatever else is going on at that moment. It's the whole enchilada! Good luck and best wishes on your journey!

Default Hang in there

Hi Goldie,

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband and mother-in-law. Life can really throw some tough stuff at us sometimes. Try and hang in there and take care of yourself - the better you do that the better you'll be at helping those you love. (Oh, and spaghetti squash is pretty good! Especially w/cheese sauce (!) - - if there is a diet version of that.)

Any commercial spagetti sauce without sugar in the ingredients list works fine as well. Classico makes several varieties that work. Tougher to find ones that work in the Ragu and Prego lines unfortunately.

I am so sorry about your MIL Hopefully w/time your hubby will heal but it's still so soon. I know what you mean about feeling helpless but sometimes it's the little things we do for our families that help the most. Take care.

"catches" = not good! In my wholly unprofessional opinion, it sounds like "floating bodies" or frayed meniscus cartilege, esp. with the swelling which may be a bursa sac issue. I'd have an ortho look at it. Hope it feels better soon if you don't go that route!

Goldie,
Hang in there I know how stressful it can be when life throws you some curve balls. I know that I have been buying vegie trays to keep at work so I won't be tempted to skip lunch or eat really poorly. I too have a hard time eating to many nuts.
Prayers for you family

Damn those Klondike slim-a-bear Krunch bars. Ive been buying them
for my husband because he asks me to be sure & get them when
I go to the store. I know its a bad bad thing. If I don't kick this bad
habit soon its just gonna get worse. But kick needed :Hinney:
My son works at GFS (Bulk foods store) They supply most of the
restaurants in our area And he brings home all kinds of junk food
and I never even think of eating any of it. I am really surprised that
I haven't gained any pnds. But of course that is going to change
if I don't make a change! My goal for this wk. is to get back to the
gym & stay away from the klondikes
Oh goldie locks,

dont even ask me what I would do for a klondike right now.... No worries honey you will find your stride...You been through alot...and now your getting back on track...the important thing is that your not letting yourself get totally off track....You know what has to be done and you will do it.... Stand strong against the klondikes
