Make cabbage rolls! They freeze wonderfully! Last time I made them I made enough for 5 dinners! We just finished the last package last week! I need to make another batch myself!

How about some cole slaw?

I like boiled cabbage with a little butter (I know, I know, you gotta use some low fat substitute) and vinegar and salt and pepper.

Here is a cabbage au gratin recipe, you should be able to easily adapt it to SB.

I love to stir fry with cabbage and keep it on the crispy side. And hey, it's St. Patricks day, so you gotta make the cabbage, right?? How about boiled with a tablespoon of Earth Balance/Smart Balance mixed in? I know someone who likes to mix in some fennel with that. I don't know what to offer you for protein Lynne because you are a vegetarian I think? Otherwise I'd say mix in some canadian bacon and onions for a mock corned beef and cabbage.

Oh, this one sounds good

The Heights Cafe Creole Cabbage 1 lg Head cabbage, washed, cored and sliced
4 sl Bacon, diced (low fat or turkey bacon?)
1 md Onion, sliced
1 Clove garlic, minced
1 16-oz can chopped tomatoes
1 6-oz can tomato juice
2 oz Louisiana hot sauce
1 c Beef consomme
Cajun seasoning - tony's or Prudhomme's
1/2 c Sugar (use splenda)

In a 4-quart saucepan, saute bacon, onion, and garlic until onion is limp. Add tomatoes, juice, and Louisiana Hot Sauce; simmer 15 minutes. Add cabbage, consomme and Cajun seasoning (start with 1 teaspoon, then season to taste). Cover and let simmer 1 hour, adding sugar after 45 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

I don't know where Lynn went, I think maybe someone in her household is vegetarian though cause she has lots of great ideas for making vegetarian stuff and seperating out a portion before adding the meat in. I think that's what it was.

Oh and I was just thinking about some advice that Megs posted, when cooking cabbage if you throw in a bay leaf it will keep it from stinking up the house!
