Default What's for Dinner???

OK, my kitchen sink broke and we don't know if the plumber will be able to get out to our house today, so I'm not cooking tonight and usually don't on Fridays anyway. But was wondering what all of you are doing or making?

Last night I made a really yummy dinner. I used a recipe out of the SB Quick and Easy cookbook that was so fun to make. It was poached halibut in parchment paper - with diced tomatoes and olive tapanede and olive oil and lemon juice on the fish.

With that I sauteed fresh swiss chard with fresh shiitake mushrooms in olive oil and garlic and added a small shallot bulb and some roasted sesame seeds and a dash of soy sauce.

Man that was yummy!!!!!

I want some more ideas from you guys!!

Oh, PS - the sink broke right when I was cooking dinner. We had to wash our dinner dishes (and my lunch tupperware) in our bathroom sink!!

Last night I had a cup of Black Bean and Salsa Chili. Tonight I grilled burgers (and made buns for the kids and dh) On mine I left it plain, with a slice of tomato and 2 thin slices of avocado. and I made 2 veggie kabobs on the grill with zucchini, mushrooms, red pepper and onion.

I just saw this thread. I went back to the Southwest Chicken Breasts made in the crock pot and black beans and cooked cabbage with onion and carrots cooked together. I had sugar free jello with a dab of Cool Whip Free.

I hope you get your sink back soon. I can't imagine doing the dishes in the bathroom sink! :Sympathy:
