| Super Sippers ![]() Ever wonder what you can order at Starbucks that's diet-friendly. Here are some ideas. I know these are lower fat or fat free, but you should probably ask them about being sugar free, too. From their calories, I'm thinking that they may not be sugar free. I'm told that they also have SF syrup that is calorie-free. Weeeee! :joy: Iced Non-fat Vanilla Latte (Grande) - 160 calories, no fat Iced Non-fat Coffee Americano (Grande) - 20 calories, no fat Non-fat Cafe Misto (Grande) - 90 calories, no fat Non-fat Cappuccino (Grande) - 100 calories, no fat Tazo Black Iced Tea (Grande) - 80 calories, no fat Espresso Frappuccino Light Blended, no whip (Grande) - 140 calories, 1g fat Tazo Green Iced Tea (Grande) - 80 calories, no fat ????: South Beach Diet Forums http://www.southbeachdietbulletinboard.com/kitchen/793-what-order-starbucks.html The SBD has updated it's evaluation of coffee due to recent studies. From time to time they do continue to change certain elements based on the most recent medical literature. They initially advised everyone to avoid caffeine because it is known to stimulate insulin secretion from the pancreas. Theoretically this could increase swings in blood sugar. But, recent studies from Finland have indicated more coffee intake was associated with a lowered risk of future diabetes, and they have therefore liberalized their view on caffeine intake. Although they still suggest moderation and monitoring your individual response. If drinking caffeine appears to worsen cravings, it is recommended that you cut back. Currently, you can enjoy one to two cups of caffeinated coffee daily. | |||||||||||

| Many of those Starbucks calories listed above are sugar calories and are not allowed on the Southbeach diet! The Tazo black and green tea have no milk; all of those calories have to be sugar!! The rest of items may have skim milk. 8 oz of skim milk has 90 calories (9g protein; 11g sugar; 1g fat); Any other calories are from sugar. I am very suspicious of the ones over 100 calories. Basically the only thing you can add to pure coffee and still stay on the diet is milk. I get Starbucks coffee and add milk to it. (no sugar) | ||||||||||
