| I was told I had very high cholesterol in 2004 - that was when I started SB. The doctor also put me on meds, but after a few months I refused to take them and told him I would do it my way and if my way didn't work then he could put me back on them. I never needed to go back on them, eating the SB way helped lower my cholesterol to a normal level, PLUS, I always had a hard boiled egg for breakfast (with the yolk), so you never know | |||||||||||

| Diet can be a big factor in your cholesterol but your genetics play a big part too. There are sometimes that meds are needed to bring down very high levels and diet just won't work even if you ate twigs all day long. Coronary artery disease is the number 1 killer of men and woman in this country, and if your cholesterol numbers are high or even normal but your good cholesterol is low you could seriously be at risk for heart disease or even a heart attack. Listen to your docs out there and if you want a second opinion go see a cardiologist. If your cholesterol is over 230 usually it is not just your diet but part of your genes as well. | |||||||||||
