This is exactly what happens to me. But it is pretty much immediately after I eat any meal. It is a habit and it can be broken. The last time I went on this diet, after a few weeks, it stopped. Can't wait to be there again! Those sweet cravings are a killer.
But you're right French, there are FFSF ways to curb those cravings. Unfortunately, I can't stop at just one dessert, even if it's a healthier alternative. That FFSF pudding is addictive!
Good luck!

Well, I looked it up. Here's some possible reasons for the sweets cravings after a meal.
Quote:
Sugar cravings may be a habit, kind of a comfort food and a very pleasant way to end a meal. Sugar cravings may also be due to low serotonin levels and depression. We may crave the taste of sweets or we may crave the effect of sugar on our brain.

That web page also has some ideas for taming the sweet tooth. Just be sure to try to incorperate their suggestions with the SBD plan. For instance, they mention honey glazed carrots and that's a no-no.

And maybe part of it is that people want what they can't have. Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned the glazed carrots in that case. Anywho, I'm glad that I can have at least one sweet treat a day on this plan. I'd really be bummed out if I thought I could never have another desert.

i crave sugar way more after a meal than if i'm hungry. 'Fage' nonfat greek yogurt is never what i crave, but once i open the tub and start eating, it's very satisfying. super creamy and yummy, low in sugar, high protein, and portion controlled. i also pop gum in my mouth to signal 'done'. There are some great gum flavors out there.
Hi all, this is my first day on So.Beach.
