Default Quick Breakfast Ideas

I have seen some of the idea on this site. (i.e. boiled eggs, canadian bacon, & the cups). Is there anything else other than eggs I can do?

Default What do you usually eat for breakfast?

I usually don't eat breakfast. When I do it's a pack of oatmeal, bowl of cereal, or breakfast sandwich...all depends on my cravings. Sometimes I only eat breakfast to say I ate it, not because I am hungry.

Default here's a thought

If I ate oatmeal and cereal in the morning I would be starving by 10am. That's just how sugar makes me feel. Anyway, here's a thought:

This is a really, really amazing yummy and easy muffin.
I think it's been listed as P1 friendly but I've always been a little unsure about that because it has 1/4 cup flax seed in it and I think that's probably above the recommendation for P1. but anyway, mimays22, you are in P2 so here it is (really satisfying and stops bread cravings)

1 T margarine - melt in 2 cup pyrex measuring cup for 15 seconds
add 1/4 cup egg beaters, or 1 egg and whisk together
then mix together:
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Splenda to taste (I usually use about 1/8 cup)
1/4 cup sprouted flax seed (must get sprouted kind because it gives you more nutritional benefit and has smoother taste and texture - you can find at health food stores)

whisk dry ingredients into butter and egg in pyrex and microwave on high for 1 minute and 25 seconds.

If you are feeling really decadent, put a few pecans in the batter, yum.

It's a really big muffin and is very filling and quick to make. 1 dish to clean afterward. Hope this helps!

Thanks! I will try that this week. I wish I was on P2. Today is my first official day, planned out that is, with every meal planned for. I have never had flax seed. Is that still good for P1? I am now onto my lunch, baked fish & veggies. I'll be starving soon. lol.

Default flax seed

I looked at the P1 food list and it lists 3 T as acceptable on P1. So, I guess my muffin is not legal. However, it is yummy and filling and I used it on P1 last time and did okay. You will have to experiment and see how your bady reacts to it. It is definately true that all of us have different triggers and different success foods.

yes, flax seed is good. Sprouted flax seed is much tastier and gives you much more nutritional benefit. It is expensive, though. Grounds flax seed is good for you but very grainy. Don't know all the benefits, but read the label, it is a "super food".

First day on strict plan?? Great! Good for you. Can't wait to hear how many pounds you lose this week. Heck, can't wait to see how many pounds I lose this week. On day 3 I weighed and had lost 2 pounds already. REally?? Really. wow.

Day one was fine. I ate everything I needed to...all my meals. Last night I OOPS'D ...I was fixing my daughter's dinner(leftovers) and when I heated her macaroni & cheese up...tasted it then started eating some. I did it like it was nothing. Then I caught myself. I only had 3 forks of it but it through me off. Today is better though. I am on my way to the mall so...hopefully the smells of chinese food & cinnamon buns won't trap me.

Thanks for all the support!!
