Default Just Starting

Hi all,

I just weaned my baby 15m so that I can do phase 1, I spent a lot of time on bed rest quit smoking and gained a lot of waight, so here I am.

2 and half years ago I I did Atkins and had a lot of success.

I have a questions can i do a combo of Atkins and South beach?

I could really use the support, any one in Ann Arbor.

Malka

That would be interesting. But I'm not sure how well it would work. Have you read the South Beach Diet book by Dr. Agatson? It's not really a low carb plan, you know. Atkins is extremely low carb. And Atkins uses loads of saturated fats in it's plan. Where as SB uses very little saturated fats, it uses healthy fats in it's plan.

How would you go about combining the two?

Default Atkins SB

I fairly new to all this but I basically saw the differences as carbs and fat.

Atkin being higher fat and no carbs, SB being low fat and controlled carbs. I imagine thats a simplification if it even is correct but that seems to be what Ive heard.
