Lemon Pepper

I use lemon pepper on fish and bought a finer ground version yesterday. Curious where the 'lemon' was on the ingredient list and discover SUGAR in it - ARGH !!!!

I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CHECK MY PEPPER FOR SUGAR :Problem:

I also saw more salt then lemon or pepper so it must have been more of a combo season. I check my home one -Lawrys Calif Grinder - and not mostly salt but ALSO sugar.:Problem:

Sugar free Lemon Pepper? Will probably switch to salt pepper garlic.

I just HATE that they seem to put sugar in everything!

I've heard that McDonald's even puts sugar in their salads. :speechless: Does anyone know if that's true?

Thanks for the tip. I wonder if all of them contain sugar.
It reminded me when I found out that IHOP puts pancake batter in their omelets. GRRRRRRR

Pancake batter - weird but believable. I dont really like scrambled eggs and was surprised to learn I love them at Grandys. I suspect some tampering there as well.

I understand McD soaks their potatoes in a type of sweetened water before they are processed to give them there unique flavor. Time for me to stop thinking about McD fries LOL !

Im going to do a shelf check in the store because perhaps there may be a NORMAL lemon pepper yet!

MCCORMICK "Salt-Free Lemon & Pepper Seasoning"

Called McCormick and was directed to their salt-free because its also sugar free Lemon Pepper as well.

Because the spice aisle can be so overwhelming here is a link to recognize the bottle.
