By law a company can say that there is 0 grams of anything in their product if it's not a full gram per serving. So, they can make a serving really small and if it's 0.9 grams of sugar, they can still list it as sugar free. At least I know it's true for America. I
think that in Canada they have to list ingredients right down to every gram. I wish that America would
stop that practice and tell us every single thing that's in our foods! Things would be so much easier then.
So, to answer your question ........ no, it's not allowed in phase one. Beware of any lunch meats that read "brown sugar cured" or "honey roasted" on the labels. And sugar should not be in the list of ingredients. It's not normal or natural to have sugar in meats.
I hope this helps and don't hesitate to ask questions. So glad to have you post here. Much success to you on your journey! :sun:
