| Ok I am new to the SBD and I thought the breads, rice, and pasta was going to be hard to give up for a little bit because I wasn't much of a "sweets eater." But I feel like if I don't get something sweet I may hurt someone at this point I don't like jello or yogert.........I need some help here | ||||||||||

| My "sugar" treat of the day is the Sugar FREE fudge pops. I love those! I use that as my dessert when i dont have sugar free jello. I really like the SF jello (only the lime and orange ones though) | ||||||||||

| Splenda seems to feed my sweet tooth. Unsweetened cocoa powder feeds my craving for chocolate. And there are Torani or DaVinci sugar-free syrups. Chocolate extract (at Whole Foods) gives a good chocolatey flavor. I must admit, I make some weird things for just myself, but sometimes they hit the spot. I know you don't want yogurt, but you might substitute ricotta or processed cottage cheese, etc, for some of these. Be as creative as you want.... 1. Sugar-free candy or gum, of course. 2. 2 TBSP peanut butter, sprinkle on some splenda & cocoa powder. Mix it all up. Put in it celery, or have it straight, like a peanut butter cookie. 3. Blend (soy) milk with splenda, cocoa powder, vanilla, & some sugar-free Torani syrup. You could add yogurt, ricotta, chopped nuts, etc. 4. Mix well 1 cup yogurt with 1/8-1/4 tsp lemon extract. Add 2 TBSP cream cheese & splenda & mix all well. You could add a bit of cocoa powder. (Tastes like a lemon cheesecake.) 5. OK, even more weird...but sweet. Cut raw red bell peppers into wide strips. Sprinkle on Splenda and cinnamon. Munch away! 6. Sprinkle some Splenda & cinnamon on cottage cheese or ricotta. 7. Sometimes I spray some "Flavor Spray" sweet flavors on cottage or ricotta. (They're sold on eBay, too) Those are a few I can think of right now. Let us know what you come up with, OK? Last edited by nancy; 09-17-2006 at 06:42 PM. | ||||||||||
