| Slightly lost on the dairy thing. The book says no dairy for phase one but then the meal plan shows fat free milk w/ coffee. Also allows cheese and yogurt.. aren't they dairy too?? Can someone tell me what's what here. I am a former Atkins-er and I am feeling a little lost w/out some definate guidelines on this. Thanks. | ||||||||||

| If anyone is actually reading this maybe you can answer this question as well... Is this sauce OK??? It's Barilla Sweet Peppers & Garlic Rustica Ingrediants are diced tomatoes, tomato puree, sweet peppers, onions, olive oil, salt, garlic basil, oregano, white pepper. 5g of sugar per 1/2 cup. I have a feeling sauce is a no no but this seems very natural and therefore hopefully OK for me to use | ||||||||||

| Hey, Teri! Dairy is now allowed on Phase 1-it didn't used to be. The dairy guidelines are the same in all phases, except starting in Phase 2 we can have an extra cup of dairy if we prefer. | ||||||||||

| I'm so sorry it's taken so long for you to get an answer. Tomatoes have a natural occurring sugar. What would be bad is if there are added sugars in the actual ingredients list. I've gone to their website, but I can't find the list of ingredients. Still, it looks like a fairly good choice because I've seen sauces with much more sugar than this one. | Oh, and Terri, just wanted to let you know that there have been changes to the "allowed foods" list since the book came out. Be sure to go by our updated lists that are stickies in each forum. Good luck with your journey to a healthier lifestyle. :Clap: | |||||||||||
