| Is this sauce OK??? It's Barilla Sweet Peppers & Garlic Rustica Ingrediants are diced tomatoes, tomato puree, sweet peppers, onions, olive oil, salt, garlic basil, oregano, white pepper. 5g of sugar per 1/2 cup. I have a feeling sauce is a no-no but this seems very natural and therefore hopefully OK for me to use. | ||||||||||

| You may have already found your answer, but... It does look like this sauce might be OK. In comparison, my can of regular tomato sauce has 4 Gms sugar per 1/2 cup. You don't know how much olive oil they use. I'm always careful about how things might be "sneaked" in. I like to make my own unless I'm absolutely sure. But the official site says spaghetti sauce is OK if it has no added sugar, no high fructose corn syrup, and no hydrogenated fats. | ||||||||||
