Default Phase One Complete But Not Quite Happy

Well I finished phase one yesterday and lost 8 lbs in two weeks. I'm not quite sure if I'm happy with my weight loss results as I'm not sure what the average expected weight loss is.

I found SB to be a bit harder (phase 1 compared to induction) than Atkins but I know in the long run that SB will be something I can do for life. I think I lost more weight my first two weeks on Atkins (was awhile ago so I don't quite remember). I do know that I wasn't exercising regularly when I was on Atkins and I have been doing 1-3 miles a day on the treadmill since I started SB.

I have quite a bit of weight to lose so I think I'm going to stay on phase 1 for a little while longer and see how it goes.

Anyone that would like to share their phase one stories with me, please message me - I'd love to hear from you. I could also use the encouragement as it's tough to keep going at times.

Default 8 lbs..YIPPEE!!!!!

Well, congratulations on finishing phase 1! 8 lbs. is a great start! You want to loose at a slow steady pace. The more gradual your loss, the easier it will be to keep it off.

This is my 2nd time on phase 1. My first go around, I stayed on phase 1 for three weeks, but that is because I knew it would help me jump start my loss since I had over 100 lbs to loose. Try switching to phase 2 for awhile...you should still be loosing, just at a slower pace. If you stall out, cut back on your carbs.

Sounds like your doing great so far, keep up all the good work, and if you ever need encouragement, that's what we are here for...I try to check in at least once a day, so I'm here if ya need me my SBD friend!

Default A Must Read!

I found a great post from tom called "leaving phase 1". You should really read it. It has great suggestions on transitioning between phase 1 & 2.

Default Thank you!

Thanks for the pep talk and the great information. I'll go read the post right now.

I guess I thought I'd lose a bit more on phase 1 but I also realize that I didn't gain the weight over night. There's no magic pill that I can take and it will all go away. It is going to take hard work and time.
