Default Question

Can you have blue bunny raspberry yogurt on Phase 1. It only has 5 carbs and it's sweetened with splenda.

2 cheetos isn't going to ruin your diet, but it may create cravings or an attitude of "it won't hurt if I only have....." And that could stall your results. It's best to stick to phase one,as strict as possible. It's only 2 weeks, after all. It will go by fast..
I think FF Cream cheese on celery would be ok, but to make sure why don't you do a search and put in the word Cream Cheese and see what others have said about it.
You can find lots of info that has already been posted on the boards that way.
Good Luck!!

That's so true, I find this happens in me often. I eat a little of something not legal and it doesn't cause me to gain weight so then I ad in a little something else and so on it doesn't cause you to gain weight, but it definatley stops the weight loss.

Ok, Myndi Jo!
Your cream cheese question was also answered in the same sticky at the top of Phase 1...
CHEESE (FAT-FREE OR LOW-FAT)
Look for varieties that have 6 grams of fat or less/ounce
American
Cheddar
Cottage cheese, 1-2% or fat-free
Cream cheese substitute, dairy-free
Feta
Mozzarella
Parmesan
Part-skim Ricotta
Part-skim String
Provolone
Swiss

I've never heard of cream cheese substitue, dairy-free, but I'm thinking it's the same as nefundel cheese (sp??). Check your labels. (and your stickies

Yes, everything above MILK/DAIRY is considered protein. That includes eggs and cheese.

The SBD doesn't aim to limit portion sizes, but it can be helpful to keep track of how much you're eating. If you know how much food it takes to satisfy your hunger, you can plan your meals accordingly. And, if you find you're not losing weight, you can determine whether portion size is the culprit. At that point you might want to cut down on the amount of cheese you're eating.

To make sure you don't overeat, start with one serving at meals, eat slowly, and go back for seconds only if you are still hungry. Remember, it takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to signal your brain that it's full.

As far as I know you can have only plain low fat or fat free yogurt on phase one.

Well when I look at the plain yogurt it actually has more sugar than my low carb raspberry yogurt so that's why i thought it would be legal.

Here are the guidelines for cream cheese:
Quote:
Cream Cheese, fat-free or light - 2 TBS
I love cream cheese on my celery!

Two Cheetos does NOT ruin your whole diet nor the last 2 days. Just carry on and no more Cheetos! :Whip: LOL

Here's what it says for yogurt guidelines in phase one. Those rules haven't changed and I was just at the SBD web site to make sure.
Quote:
(2 cups allowed daily, including low-fat or nonfat plain yogurt)
Low-fat or nonfat plain yogurt
They do not recommend 'low carb' dairy products in general. Again, this is not a carb counting plan. Milk has a natural occurring sugar called lactose which can be part of a healthy eating plan. 'Low carb' dairy products remove this sugar. The best yogurt choice on SBD is a nonfat or low fat variety. You can have 2 cups of low fat dairy (milk or yogurt) in phase 1 and 2-3 cups in phase 2 and 3.
