Default Trying SBD again....

So I tried SBD a few months ago and I put on a few pounds during p1. Prior to starting SBD, all I was eating was Protein, Fruits and Veggies during the week (specific measured portions) and eating more relaxed on the weekends, like pizza occasionally, wings, more carbs, etc. I would have thought that P1, would have helped me clean out my system and help me lose a few pounds. I really only want to lose 5-10lbs. I have decided to try the SBD again b/c I have but on about 10lbs since January and I would really like to lose them. Again I have been eating protein fruits and veggies during the week and eating pretty much what I want within reason on the weekends, lately I feel like I am restricting myself during the week and then bingeing on the weekends and I need to get out of that habit and get more structure but also have a plan that I can keep up with forever. I feel like if I eat unlimited amounts of protein and veggies, I'm still going to gain weight...I'm scared actually b/c that's what happened last time...someone please help! I need advice or something. I am planning to start SBD on 6/16. It's my bday tomorrow and I'm going out of town next weekend, and I want to be strict with P1, so I am waiting till I get back.

phase 1 is made to detox your body from all the crap you've been eating (so to say)... binging on the weekends and having what ever you want, is probably making it harder than ever during the week for you. Fruit also is not allowed in phase 1 due to the high sugar content. This jacks sugar and gives you cravings later when you crash. Care to share what your menu will be like once you officially 'start' the diet?...after your birthday of course...lol

Maybe we can find the problem before it becomes a problem for you. I know this diet works...you just have to stick to the phases and their 'allowed foods' lists. Even if you eat more than they suggest, if you stick to the proper foods, you will lose...I have done it. We'll get this thing figured out together so you can drop those 10 lbs my friend!!
