Default Energy food please!

Hi everyone,

I'm on my 5th day and being really good, but I'm really feeling tired. I don't know if maybe its a combination of the change of diet and exercise. Usually about this time (after lunch) I grab something sugary to perk me up. Any ideas? Also does anyone else experience this and when will it go?

Thanks again!

PS For lunch I had a rocket salad with cucumber, green onions, a couple of cherry tomatoes and some very lean turkey breast. oh and a low fat vinagrette.

how's your water intake? sometimes we just need a little hydration....

as far as your perk you up snack, phase 1 is kinda limited...I'd try something that seems sweet, like SF Jello mixed with SF or LF Coolwhip...maybe add some nuts on top?...it is like eating a sunday...or SF Jello w/some LF Cottage cheese...I like this at work. I call it, pretty cottage cheese...lol

Perhaps try some allowed dairy/yogurt. They contain decent amounts of natural sugars which might help with the energy levels. A glass of milk can often work wonders in P1! So will adding in some beans/legumes on a daily/regular basis. You could try adding some chickpeas/garbanzo beans into your salad for example. Also use a regular fat salad dressing made with good oils as a base like olive oil or canola oil. SB dressing should be roughly in the 10-16 gms of fat per 2 tblsp serving size and less than or at 3 gms of sugars per serving. Healthy fats are both good for you, promote feelings of fullness and also allow a lot of the nutrients in raw vegetables to actually be absorbed by your body.

You can also always grab some more veggies too!

Default Cheers!

Thanks very much. I'm going to try it all!

I am drinking loads of water. I feel like I'm thirstier, but have always been good at drinking water. The glass of milk sounds ideal, I love it! Thankfully i'm not lactose intolerant.

P1 isn't long away now. I'm in the UK and there aren't any SB products or products using Splenda. A bit behind. But I think I might have friends at home send me a care package with healthy stuff.

Thanks again. it all helps.
