Default Breakfast alternatives needed

Although I like the little egg quiches, sometimes the thought of eating eggs in the morning is so yucky that I would rather not eat at all.....can anyone suggest some non-egg breakfast options for phase one? Can one of the pros tell me if this recipe below for a peanut butter smoothie would be allowed as a phase one breakfast? Thanks!

Seems fine to me...nothing on there that is off limits, but be careful....sounds pretty yummy to me.

Think I'm gonna try this one myself! Thanks!

you can eat anything on the food lists for breakfast and try to get a balance of good fats, proteins and carbs and adequate calories to fuel your morning and get your metabolism up and running! a bowl of homemade chili is a great P1 breakfast (lunch or dinner!) for instance. cottage cheese with veggies like tomato chopped up into it is good too.

here's the meal model for P1 breakfasts:

Quote:
BREAKFAST:
Protein: Quantity is not limited. Start with a 2 oz. portion, eat slowly, go back for seconds if still hungry.

Vegetables:Minimum 1/2 cup or 6-8 oz. tomato or vegetable juice.

Milk/Dairy:2 cups allowed daily (including yogurt)

Fat:1 tsp mayonnaise, trans-free margarine, or oil (optional)
I probably wouldn't have more than 1 cup of dairy at breakfast though. And adding in some beans/legumes is always a good idea in P1 to keep those carbs levels up!

(FWIW, I responded to the smoothie question in your other thread.)

Update! I just made this smoothie and its quite tangy!! I don't think this will be a good option for me, the yogurt makes it way too tangy. I guess I will try chili for breakfast!
