| I will be starting Phase 1 of SB tomorrow.. I am a carb-a-holic and have a sweet tooth that never goes away, so this might be hard on me, but I am sick of my weight being at 160. Never had weight issues before, when I was a teenager I was actually anorexic (wonder if it messed my metabolism up). I had a baby when I was 19, was 124 when we got married and weighed 175 the day my son was born 10 months later. He nursed so I got back down to 130 fast, but gained it back after I started working (stress and eating junk food ALL THE TIME!) I weigh 160 now and would like to get back down to 130. I would be okay with 130! I am 5'5 I have tried exercising and watching what I eat.. and even jogging 2 miles a day for several weeks I only lost like 1 pound. I am really hoping this diet/lifestyle does the trick for me. Did Slim Fast (what a joke, I was starving all the time and then gave up and binged). Anyways, hope there might be some others here just starting so I have a SB Buddy! | ||||||||||

![]() If you haven't got a copy of the book, I'd get one and read it through at some point. The new supercharged version also has recommendations for exercise along with it which is important as well. (doesn't have to be their exercise program, but some level of movement is important to be healthy in general.) You can probably find a copy of the older versions at your library and the principles haven't changed that much really. The sticky threads here for the food list and the meal model for each phase are REALLY helpful in terms of the mechanics of putting a daily meal plan together and figuring out what you can and can't eat and how much and the various allowances on some of the more calorie dense foods and that sort of thing. | Once you get going and get a couple of days under your belt- you'll realize its SSOOO worth it. After just a few days I started feeling MUCH better than I had in months!! I wish you the best of luck and remember to stop by here... especially if you feel you need a boost.. | ||||||||||

| Hi I'm kinda a oldie but goodie around here..My day one was yesterday. I understand about the sweet tooth thing....Its so hard to break up my love affair with the evil little M&M'S, but you know i had to kiss them goodbye in order to get results..Check out the menu in phase 1 there are a few things you can have...one of my favorite for the moment is sugar free jello with sugar free cool whip and a few walnuts...Yum Yum French | ||||||||||
