| I am not a big meat eater, I do love my veggies!!!! Can I have more beans with my meals? Is splenda O.K.? What about butter and / or mayonaise? | ||||||||||

| I'd recommend checking the foods to enjoy list and meal model sticky threads near the top of this forum for these kinds of questions. Actually printing them out for reference is usually a good idea as well as you get used to the program. beans: 1/3 - 1/2 cup as part of your minimum veggie recommendations per meal are suggested. you can have them more than once a day, but they are more calorie dense than other veggies so may hinder weight loss. splenda: is fine. butter: no. saturated fat is too high to be heart healthy. mayo: 1 tblsp of regular or 2 tblsp of light versions. those that use canola or olive oil will be heart healthier and are preferred over other oil bases. | |||||||||||
