When I first come on the board, I always go to see who is on line with me...Most of the time its Yahoo slurp spider, and google spider... Um who are these spider people that are always looking in at the board? ANYONE KNOW...

they are automated "bots" that crawl around the "web" indexing pages and key words from pages on the web so their search engines (yahoo and google in this case) can find the pages if anyone searches on them.

what was funny was that I had to do a search to find the answer! I mean I knew in general what they do, but didn't know how to explain it very well. So I learned something too! And I do get stumped at times! it's when I don't write responses!
