Hi all,

Today didnt go quite as well as it could have, but it wasnt a disaster, either. the biggest issue was that I thought we had water at work and it turns out that we didnt, or so I thought. They just hid it all, lol. So I didnt get nearly the amount of water that I should have. I did get more later in the day, 2 glasses at dinner, and a cup of tea at home. Lunch was chicken soup, 2 celery sticks, some peanut butter and cottage cheese, with a V8. Dinner was a large salad, with lettuce, spinach, fresh lima beans, green pepper, cucumber, a bit of cheddar, chickpeas, more cottage cheese (going from memory), and the bacon avocado burger from Ruby Tuesday. Yes, I discarded the bun and fries, as well as all but a bit of the bacon that I missed.

Tomorrow, I have to go grocery shopping, I'm out of eggs, etc.

Hi Dancer. I didn't see any mention of snacks in there. Are you planning on having snacks? To get the full benefit of this way of eating, they are pretty much required. They will keep your blood sugars level and help to avoid crashing and/or overdoing it at mealtimes. Otherwise, looks like a good day to me...

I should have mentioned that I didnt get up and moving until close to noon, so I ate lunch at about 1, and as I was at work, it took me almost an hour to eat. Because I am the only staff member at my work, every time someone comes in, I have to get up. So for that day, no, there was no snacking, but only because it took me so long to eat lunch, whole thing was one continuous snack, lol. I really appreciate the reminder, though, as I have a tendency to forget the snacks.

Today was different, I promise.

Breakfast-
Coffee

V8, about 3 ounces of lunch meat, about 1030.

Snack-
Celery and peanut butter

Lunch-
Diced chicken and cheddar cheese stuffed into an orange bell pepper, and microwaved for about a minute. Cottage cheese, V8.

Snack-
Handful of peanuts

Dinner-
Turkey filet mignon, green beans sauteed with garlic and white pepper and a bit of butter, and salad.

I went and did the grocery shopping tonight, so I have yogurt, eggs, string cheese, salad, almonds, etc. Also, had 44 ounces of water today, and its only about 715 my time, so I will wind up having a little more tonight, as well.

Looks great, Dancer! But, believe me, no one is judging, so you don't have to promise to "eat right" here. We are all learning as we go. I know for sure I'm not doing it perfectly, but it's close enough...

2 hard boiled eggs


snack-

Lunch,
Chicken salad and broccoli soup with tea

This was a huge lunch, no snack til dinner.

Dinner-
Chili and salad.

Last night, I was hungry like 30 minutes after I ate, I swear. I finally got up and made myself a cup of yogurt with splenda and a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa. I forgot about that part.

Default Day 4, revisited

Sorry for the absence. I went on vacation. Didnt do too badly, actually. I came home and discovered that I lost another 2 pounds. I was really afraid to step on the scale. Then this morning it showed me back up the 2, but I am totally convinced that was a water issue, as I broke my favorite bottle and didnt drink enough.

It's amazing what being away from this place does. I was tempted, and gave in. (I didnt have Jilly standing there in my head, saying "You really gonna eat that...? Kidding, Jilly, you rock.)

So, here we are, regrouping back to day 4. I'm about to go have a monster salad, some cottage cheese, and as I have gotten a new favorite bottle, more water.
