| Hey guys, I have overnight call today at the hospital. Let's see how this goes. I think I'll ask my husband to bring me a salad for dinner. Question for the SB pros: I know a standard day on SB is 3-4 meals plus snacks. How many meals and snacks should I add if I stay up all night? | ||||||||||

| That is a tough question. I think you should probably be eating every 3 hours or so, even if it is small things like a low-fat cheese stick. | ||||||||||

| I used to work nights and the best thing to do is to treat your night at the hospital like a regular day since you will probally be sleeping most of it the next day except backwards. Eat dinner before you go to work, have two small snacks and a light lunch such as a salad and in the morning eat a small breakfast til you can get caught up. | |||||||||||

| That's what I would think as well. You are still awake and active and need to keep functioning. You still need to keep eating to support that activity. You'll still "fast" again when you finally get to sleep! | |||||||||||

| Yep... I totally agree with Red & Painted... Right on my friends! eat every 3 hours...no matter how long you've been up or plan to be up...you still have to fuel your body, or you can't possibly burn stored fat. | |||||||||||
