| I know that substantially you shouldnt eat after 9pm. But on SBD is there a rule to this? I go to school at night and dont get home till 1030-11. So I am usually hungry when i get home. Tonight I just had a lettuce wrap and some roasted red peppers and garlic. Is that a no-no? TIA | ||||||||||

| Nope! An evening snack is actually encouraged (but not mandatory) to help keep your blood sugars more stable overnight. There is very little scientific evidence to support the notion that eating after a certain time of night contributes to weight gain, or not eating at night contributes to weight loss. The problem is that most people's night time snack usually involves crap foods and lots of sugars, fats, and/or refined carbs! It's really more of a continuous calories in vs. out equation. I think it sounds like a good healthy snack and if you are hungry before bed, you are only going to be REALLY hungry when you wake up! | |||||||||||
