I had a dentist appt. today. Regular run of the mill cleaning.

I have had some MAJOR gum issues in the past (like last year) and the dentist remarked that "Hey healing up nicely there..keep up the good job"...

He told me to avoid sugar, empty calorie foods, and most of all HFCS (which he said more and more evidence is suggesting how bad for your teeth they really are).

So I told him I was doing South Beach. He was like wow, great, good luck since its *tada - get this* excellent for your teeth as well (as is all of the other lower G.I. eating plans).

Turns out all those veggies and milk/cheese and proteins you're packing are also helping your overall dental health. He congratulated me and stated that he could only wish he had as much will power as I did.

That's great news Luvbug!! Just another reason to keep on going, right?? I hope I get the same news since I also usually have minor gum issues! I knew I was doing this for 100 reasons...now there are 101 reasons!! LOL!!
