Well, I am planning on starting P2 on Monday. I plan to start slowly and going by the book. I will not eat 4 pieces of bread a day and 4 fruits. I will take it slow so my body can take it in. I then plan to up my exercise also. They say not to watch the scale, but I might to monitor what certain foods do to my body. I am scared also, but look at Tiny T!! I was on this board the moment she started in 2006. I had just had a baby and needed to lose that weight. I get back on 2 years later and she did it. But, from what I can see she worked out hard a lot. That is what will change our body on the outside most!!

Good luck and keep us posted!!

The only thing to do is move forward. I do advise you to take it slow when it comes to adding things like fruit and grains - no more than one a day at the beginning. Also, try to stick with the same one for a couple of weeks and see how it affects your weight loss efforts.

Everyone worries about going into Phase 2, I think. I did too. I took the advice of others here and it's been just fine. Go slowly adding things back in, and don't add them at breakfast (at first). I had an apple with lunch on my first Phase 2 day. I had carrots the second day (I had missed my carrots!) - although I was reminded by RedRox that carrots really aren't a grain or a fruit, it still felt new to me because they were "not allowed" on Phase 1. So, I tell you that just to show you that I was being really cautious.

I think a lot of us that come here have a love/hate relationship with food and we are afraid of what it will do to our bodies. And with reason, because food does affect our bodies. But it doesn't have to be a bad effect. It's supposed to be the opposite! This plan, if you stick with it, will change your way of thinking about food. Food can be your friend (just not the junk food!)

Keep posting for reassurance and stick with it and you will be fine. Promise!

Still debating as to whether or not to extend phase 2 by a week or not. Officially on phase 1 I've lost a total of 7 lbs, but my weight loss was starting before that (I think just thinking about it made me more aware of what I was eating) so I'm not sure how to count it (maybe SB 1/2 - since my last hurrah was a slice of peanut butter pie).

Anyway, I know Phase 2 for me will also mean the re-introduction of excersice for me.
