For the 50 & older SBers

Today I am preparing for my first colonoscopy. I have gotten used to feeling so satisfied and not hungry. Today is a different story. My stomach is growling and clear liquid diet is not cutting it. Fortunately, I can resume SB in the morning after this is all over. Ugh!

I've done it while on SB. The prep is far worse than the procedure! Hang in there and get back to good healthy foods when you can! I think the only change I made was to look for lower sugar electrolyte/sports drinks to mix in the powdered laxatives.

I am back from my proceedures and yes the worst was in the prep. But with exception a one polyp which was removed, and a small ulcer, I am doing good. Went to lunch and had gyro salad. All SB yah, I am doing this!!!
I wonder how off my morning weigh in was bc of all the fluids. I did find the low sugr gatorade at the last minute, much to my relief.

What they say about remembering nothing is true. I will have to ask DH to see what Dr. said about my return.
As for the temporary weight loss, I changed my ticker back. Yesterday was too good to be true with a 3 lb loss! Yesterday 197.5 today 200.5. Let's just say I enjoyed the 90's for a day! But I will get there.

I was to doped to eat for a day and a half! Will have to inform them of that next time and will remember to push fluids to clear the anesthesia-they never told me that! Well, onward and upward and you will be below 200 soon I bet.
