Default Day 3 ...cravinsg swets and carbs

I am on day 3 of phase 1. I am sooo wanting some chocolate, candy and carbs but I am determined not to give in. I know it will pass but I am already bored with a breakfast of eggs. Anyone have any advice or encouragement as to when these sugar cravings will subside?

The program allows for 75-100 calories per day of "Sweet treats" which are basically the SF versions of things listed in the food lists. Also things like the no sugar added fudge pops might help being both chocolatey and sweet. Are you eating something every 2-3 hours and getting in your good carbs from the allowed P1 sources like dairy, beans and all your veggies? The goal of P1 is more to normalize blood sugars over the course of the day and so help prevent the food based hunger pangs caused by insulin spikes and drops. IMO, it doesn't really help too much with the emotional wants for common comfort foods and habits other than if you are not overly hungry to begin with, then you don't think about snacking on the sweet stuff quite as much.

yes psychologically the week before easter might not have been great timing for the 1st week of phase 1 (although i know there will always be something!) i find i am craving things i wouldn't normally eat just because i know i can't have them and the adverts for easter goodies really aren't helping!

hmm think i will have a glass of milk as haven't had much dairy today.
